As the chief New York lobbyist for the Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA), Willett’s president, Perry Ochacher recently had the honor of being a panel member at the Connect (X) conference held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. The panel’s theme was “State of State – WIA’s Infrastructure Update from State Capitals.” This topic was very pertinent given that $42.5B dollar federal broadband infrastructure spending will be distributed to the states, resulting in an increase in state legislative activity. The panel discussed how various states are promoting wireless connectivity and what users can expect to see in the near future and Perry focused on the New York WIRED Broadband Act.
