Congratulations to Willett Senior VP Matt Lesieur on his recognition in City & State's Top 50 Political Clubs in New York! We are very proud of Matt and his advocacy work outside of the firm, especially at the Stonewall Democratic Club of NYC. Matt has been an active member of Stonewall Democrats since the mid-90s and currently serves as their Treasurer.
The Stonewall Democratic Club was founded in 1986 with the goal of highlighting and advocating for LGBTQ+ issues in NY. Some of the club's recent wins include making the Staten Island St. Patrick's Day parade inclusive for the first time and organizing against a community board resolution excluding transgender athletes from public school sports.
"I am so proud that this club I've been part of for years is being named a powerhouse in New York," Matt said of his commitment to Stonewall Democrats. "We've done a lot of work and will continue to do so for a long time to come."
