On March 23rd, Willett had the honor of attending an event at the Hudson River Museum celebrating NASA astronaut Ron Garan. The evening included a riveting discussion of Garan’s personal experiences in space and a reception with elected officials. The museum is a Willett client.
Ron Garan is a Yonkers native and former astronaut who inspires companies to think of their own sustainability in order to positively impact our planet. He is admired for his work at NASA but also for his humanitarian contributions and extensive work in sustainable development. Astronaut Garan's personal telling of space travel focused on the beauty of viewing Earth from a distance and the wonder that comes from seeing humanity’s interconnectedness on such a level. We look forward to seeing Ron at future museum events.
Willett assisted HRM in making this event a success by helping coordinate the attendance of area elected officials including Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano, Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Assemblyman Nader Sayegh, Deputy County Executive Ken Jenkins, County Legislator Shanae Williams, and representatives from the Yonkers City Council. We admire and thank Ron Garan for sharing his incredible and truly inspiring story and thank the Hudson River Museum for organizing such a special event.
