On May 2nd, Willett Public Affairs led over 50 chiropractors in a successful lobby day in Albany on behalf of our client the New York Chiropractic Council. Willett organized and helped lead the group in meetings with key state legislators to express support for a variety of priority bills. The issues discussed ranged from modernizing the chiropractic scope of practice to introducing a Medicaid pilot program that demonstrates the efficacy of chiropractic as an alternative to pharmacological solutions for the management of pain, and legislation that will help end discrimination against chiropractors and other alternative health care practitioners by insurance companies. Willett is very proud of the group’s efforts in Albany this week, and we look forward to our continued partnership with the Council to improve the health of New Yorkers, without the use of drugs or surgery!
